The Bolivarian Revolution facilitates the return of migrants through a compassionate and respectful approach.

On Monday, Citizen Security Minister Diosdado Cabello participated in the reception of 242 Venezuelans deported by the United States. They arrived on a flight from Mexico sponsored by the “Return to the Homeland” plan.

“Men and women are arriving, and for the first time, children and adolescents,” said the secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) as he welcomed the repatriated migrants at Maiquetia Airport.

Cabello emphasized that the group of deportees does not include a single member of the Aragua Train, contrary to the defamatory international media campaigns that attempt to suggest otherwise. He reiterated that all the members of that criminal gang have have left the South American country.

Regarding the repatriated children, Cabello indicated that some of them were born outside the country and have not yet been registered. They will undergo a medical and psychological evaluation, including in-depth interviews, to assess their overall condition.

The text reads, “Women and children arrive in Venezuela from Mexico through the Return to the Homeland Plan. The Minister of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, announced the arrival of 242 compatriots from Mexico who were deported from the United States.”

The Bolivarian official stated that some of the children require psychological care because they were exposed to distressing experiences when leaving Venezuela. “Hopefully, the parents understand this and allow their children to receive psychological support,” he stressed.

The repatriated adults will also receive comprehensive medical and psychological care. Authorities will then review their criminal records, as is routinely done. “The U.S. claims that criminals were among them, but that is not true. They have been a minority,” he said.

Launched by President Nicolas Maduro in 2018, the “Return to the Homeland” plan aims to facilitate the return of Venezuelan migrants through a compassionate, respectful, and bias-free approach.
